Amber Anderson is a self-taught artist born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida who always had a passion for creating art. With no formal education or training in visual arts, Amber uses pencils, acrylic paint, and crafts as choices of mediums. Positive representation of people of color is what she feels is important to create. Amber enjoys creating portraiture works but not limited to. She also likes creating vibrant abstract and landscape art as well. She enjoys crafting making handmade key chains, necklaces, and car accessories displaying positive statements and images such as “the fist” [image] of solidarity or “Queen”. Amber’s vision for her art to be viewed as empowering to people of color being that the odds are against them, yet they are very powerful and important people. Aside from being an artist she is a mother of a son who is a reason for her to keep striving for the best. Amber hopes are to keep growing as an artist. She views art as a never-ending marathon because she feels that art is forever learning experience.
