Jazlyne Sabree is a professional artist who specializes in acrylic painting with a focus on social justice themes. She currently paints out her home studio. She was born in Willingboro, New Jersey where she resides and currently works as a high school art teacher in Camden, NJ. Jazlyne became interested in art at a young age as a form of therapy after watching her father’s struggles with addiction and the criminal justice system. This is where her interest in social justice was born.


Jazlyne Sabree earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art degree from Clark Atlanta University and went on to earn her Master of Arts in Art Education degree at Boston University. She is now an accepted prospective student at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA pursuing her Master in Fine Art in Socially Engaged Studio Art degree.


Actively exhibiting, Jazlyne Sabree is connected to many arts organizations in the New Jersey area. She is currently exhibiting in the invitation only exhibition Blackartistry: Unapologetic curated by Lavett Ballard, in the African American Art Collective Exhibit at the Annex Gallery in Mt. Holly, NJ, as well as at Above Art Studios in New Brunswick, NJ.
