Contemporary artist from the Portland area and where her Airstream travels.
Elisa grew up inspired by her mother a gifted artist. Although Elisa worked for her BA in Visual Fine Arts, it sat dusty for many years before she got the courage to put herself out there after painting with other contemporary artists. She finally came into her own when she left her job, and downsized to a minimalist life on the road in her Airstream. After two careers where she brought creativity into her work she decided it was time to create her own art. Elisa also likes photography, writing, poetry, performing improv and playing the piano. Her current focus is acrylic painting. She has collectors who buy and commission original works, as well as fans who like the affordability of prints. She finishes each year around the holidays with a set of blank greeting cards of her work for that year. For content she loves landscapes, people, current events as well as inspiration from her travels. She is a true contemporary figurative artist. She sees herself as an activist in giving voice to art that we don't always see in the mainstream art world and has focused more on word of mouth and social media to gain clients rather than traditional venue of galleries. Recently she has expanded her skills as she was invited to join the artists represented at The Troutdale Arts Center to participate in the First Fridays Troutdale Art Walk in addition to her online sales.
