Hi, my name is Oniya! I've been involved with art all through my life. Art runs through my family and I've worked in different jobs to supply my passion. Although different people have commissioned my art, I still have a long way to go with my art growth. I'm excited! Creating art is one of the most important things in my life. I love to paint black women and black love. I find black women to be some of the most amazing people in the world.  Black women are so beautiful and mystical; they're my muse. My parents' love for each other inspire me and show me what black love should look like, and it's wonderful!

What does being a Black girl who paints mean to you?

Being someone who not only sees the world through different and creative eyes, but taking common concepts and ideas and creating them, I express myself and my culture in many forms of painting and resin. There are stories behind my art.
